ABOUT THE ARTISAN: Having been a Dancer and Artist most of my life, I have always loved fabric patterns, textures and colors. My hand-made Miko Kami (Female Shaman Spirit Dolls) are perfect gifts for those in need of uplifting or making changes in their lives. The majority of the fabrics I use comes from FabMo, where I have been a patron since 2010. I let the variety and beauty of these “rescued and repurposed” fabric samples, trims, buttons and tassels from all over the world inspire me.
Ready-made Spirit Dolls can be found on the Website Gallery and alternatively, Spirit Dolls can be special ordered by contacting me by phone and by answering a short questionnaire which can be found on the website www.MikoKami.com. Appointments can be made by phone for pickup or in-person selection at my Home Studio in Santa Clara with appropriate COVID distancing protocols.
