Volunteer

FabMo is an all volunteer organization.
We would not exist without the dedication of our volunteers. 

Here are some of the ways volunteers make it all possible:  

• collecting exceptional designer materials from the SF Design Center as part of our pickup team. Ride along from Sunnyvale with our driver, or meet in San Francisco. It’s a full day of hauling each week and a great way to get a sneak peek inside this exclusive designer enclave.

• sorting materials by type and size for a half-day once a week. We sort, chat, share creative ideas, show off recent projects and swoon over all the beautiful materials.

• staging the showroom for one of our twice-monthly events — a satisfying job of displaying beautiful materials so they find a new home and purpose.

• supporting an event by greeting patrons and helping them have a great experience. For new volunteers this 2-hour shift is a great way to get started!

• helping with fun, hands-on projects for kids of all ages during Bay Area events like Maker Faire and Earth Day.

• offering special skills such as tech support, fundraising, bookkeeping, and many others needed to run our organization.
