CREATIONS: I make two products—party hats and handmade journals. The party hats are made with vintage book pages and trimmed with a variety of FabMo finds (ribbon, sequins, trims, and lace). The journals are stitched by hand and bound in leather or wallpaper.
ABOUT THE ARTISAN: I have been a FabMo fan for several years, at first just collecting a seemingly random collection of fabric, trims, leather, and wallpaper. I've always been a collector of "this and that", not always knowing what I'm going to do with it, but not being able to pass it up. I've always loved hats and it occurred to me that grown-ups could enjoy a little whimsy in their celebrations, so I started using the materials I collected—ribbons, trims, sparkly things and paper—to create party hats.
The love of beautiful paper led me to bookmaking classes, and FabMo provided a trove of leather, paper, and wallpaper to create handmade journals.
