ARTISAN STATEMENT: As the sole creator behind Handmade by Bergen, I will be offering quilts, totes, pouches, catch-all bags and accessories all created with and inspired by unique upcycled fabric from FabMo. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to celebrate the beauty of the fabric.
CONNECTION TO FABMO: Sustainable living has always been important to me, so when I found FabMo, I was so excited! From a becoming regular shopper several years ago to now volunteering, I am so grateful to have found this community! Volunteering and shopping at FabMo is always a joyful day for me being surrounded by like-minded creatives, helping others, and, of course, finding new fabrics. I love working with designer swatch books, as everything is color coordinated and it keeps a large item out of landfill. FabMo fabric sparks my creativity and design in new ways, such as turning a gorgeous 8“ square into a totebag or wallet.
