Heart Embroidery Appliqué with Lindsay (WK-HRT-0125)
10 am to 2 pm Sunday, January 25th
Ring in the new year by learning how to make a lovely embroidered heart! During the first part of the class, you will learn how to make basic embroidery stitches on felt or a similar fabric. The second half of the class will be spent embroidering a heart design on your choice of fabrics, onto a flat (or similar) thick backing. Printed instructions for the stitches will be provided to you for easy reference.
Your finished piece (approximately 5" x 5”) can be framed, used as a “mug rug,” turned into a small wall hanging, or added as a decorative appliqué on a purse or tote bag.
The class fee is $55, which covers all the materials you will need. Participants are also welcome to bring their own sewing or embroidery supplies. This class is appropriate for anyone over 12 with basic hand sewing skills. All minors aged 12 to 14 must have a paid for seat and be accompanied by a paying adult. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch to eat during the class break.
