Crochet for Beginners with Gayatri Ratnam (WK-CRC-0608)
9:20 am to 1 pm Sunday, June 8
Ideal for complete beginners to crochet, including kids who love to learn! During the course of the class, you will get a solid foundation in the art of crochet by learning the basic stitches (chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet and treble). You will put these new skills to the test by creating simple projects: a hair tie, a heart, a pretty flower bookmark and time permitting, a granny square. You will learn to read English, Japanese, and American crochet patterns and notation. If you’ve been thinking about learning how to crochet, this is your perfect opportunity!
The class will be 3.5 hours long, from 9:20 am to 1 pm at FabMo. The class fee is $50, which includes all the materials you need, including a crochet hook that you can take home. This class is open to adults and children ages 10 and up. All minors aged 10 to 12 must have a paid for seat and be accompanied by a paying adult. There will be a ten minute break, so bring a snack.
