Join us for an exciting hands-on, four-hour workshop on mixed media textile creativity. Participants will learn many techniques for weaving, knotting, wrapping, tying, sewing, coiling and twisting of fiber materials, and explore making fringe, tassels and pompoms to add additional texture and delight. The base for this project will be plastic fencing, which opens up creative possibilities beyond simply weaving. The end result will be a dynamic and stunning art piece suitable for hanging on the wall. No art or weaving experience is necessary. This class is open to adults only and all skill levels are most welcome.
The fee is $95, which covers all the materials you will need. This workshop will be taught by Vicki Assegued, an experienced instructor who has led fiber workshops all across the U.S. Please bring your own packed lunch.
