What kinds of projects do people make with them?

They run the full range from woolens, cottons, silks, linens, synthetics and many blends of these.  We get sheers to upholstery weight and all in between.

Our volunteers spend a great deal of time sorting these treasures into like-sized piles which may contain every weight, material content, color, pattern, etc. We have variety of fabrics you won’t likely find in any fabric store.  One of the more delightful comments we regularly hear is, “I came here with a project in mind, but the longer I stay, the more the fabric is speaking to me, suggesting other projects.”

Projects include bags, purses, wearable art, dolls, table linens, quilts, cell phone cases, hats, etc.  We are continually surprised at the creativity of those in the FabMo community.
