Is FabMo, Inc. a recognized tax-exempt organization? 

We have been recognized by the State of California as a not-for-profit corporation and granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS effective since the birthdate of the corporation (July 28, 2009).  Donations made to FabMo, Inc. since that date are tax deductible. 

Our new tax status will benefit anyone offering us storage and distribution space at below market rates or support us in other ways. 

How is it funded?

At the current time, FabMo has expenses for rent, utilities, insurance, and transportation, which we try to cover by the donations of those gathering our treasures or taking our classes.  We have no paid staff.   When you arrive at a FabMo distribution event, you will be made aware of the donation box.  Please remember that our existence is on the line every month.

As we anticipate taking on new uses, or a larger, more suitable facility, we are looking for additional support.  We can accept donations through PayPal, and have set up a “FabMo Shopping Mall” which gives folks access to 150 popular shopping sites online (Home Depot, Barnes & Noble, Office Depot, Kohls, Walmart, etc.)  Shoppers that start by clicking through from our shopping mall get same deals they would have, but FabMo collects a small percentage of every purchase.  We are seeking individual, corporate or organizational sponsorship for our special events and for our growth activities.
