Eleventh Annual FabMo Arts Boutique Exhibitor Application

You might have heard references to “TAB” or “FabTAB” at FabMo before, and are forgiven if you have no idea what it means. It took me two years to figure it out :-). Since the FabMo Arts Boutique (formerly the FabMo Textile Arts Boutique) is a bit of a mouthful, the event is also known as “the Boutique”, much like San Francisco is “the City”.

FabMo’s annual Arts Boutique is a one day event where artists, crafters, and sewists who use FabMo materials have the opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity while selling their handmade products to the wider community.

Here is a short overview of the event:

Location

The FabMo warehouse is too small to accommodate all the vendors and shoppers, so we rent a larger facility. As you might expect — this being Silicon Valley and all — renting a facility is neither easy nor cheap. The table rental fees paid by the vendors help to defray that cost.

This year, the Boutique is being held at the First Congregational Church, 1985 Louis Road, Palo Alto.

Dates

The Boutique typically happens in late October. Though some holiday-themed items are available and it is a great place to find special and unique gifts, the show features items to be treasured and enjoyed year round.

The 2019 event will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 10AM to 4PM.

Vendors

Anyone who uses FabMo materials in their creations can apply to sell at the Boutique. Exhibitor applications are submitted by mail, and the tables sell out quickly. The 2019 application form will be available to be downloaded from this page starting June 1, 2019. Vendors are accepted on a first come first serve basis, with additional consideration given to the type of products a vendor makes. Having a good variety and selection of products is important to ensure happy customers.

Shoppers

The event is advertised with posters, flyers, and on social media. And by now — 2019 is our 11th Boutique — the community knows when it is time for this special event. We encourage everybody to come on by, browse, shop, talk with our vendors about their products and processes, visit the FabMo table to learn more about our organization, buy one of our popular “Mystery Gifts”, and speak to one of the many volunteers that make the event possible. Maybe volunteering at FabMo is for you.

The Boutique is one of the highlights of the busy FabMo calendar, and we hope to see you in October as a vendor, shopper, or volunteer!
